Starter Workout for Beginners, Part II - Made Fit TV - Ep 79

January 5th, 2010 | Comments | Email This Post Email This Post |

Another year, another chance to let yourself down, right?  NO!  Like I showed you in Episode 78, the best way to succeed in a new year is to commit to a New “LIFE” Resolution.  A few challenging exercise moves for the total body is a great way to start… and a set of dumbbells!

Over a year ago, I showed you a “Starter Workout For Beginners - Part I”.  This provided good tips and exercises for you to kick off your program if you’re just getting back into it for the first time in a long time, or for the first time ever.  Now, in this week’s Made Fit TV podcast, I provide you with a Part 2 to that episode.  It has more movements to jump-start your exercise program with good form and intensity!

Check out part one of the video - Back when we were Brides Made Fit! (Brides Made Fit still exists and trains brides-to-be here in the Metro Detroit Area!)

    Thank you Jenny,
I recently lost 25 pounds. I am 39 year old mom of 5 children. I am 5'5" and 145 lbs. I want to lose 15 more, strengthen my heart and also firm up my muscles. It can't be impossible, right? I recnetly found your website and this is the first video I used. I am so thankful for your videos. God has certainly given you a gift for teaching about fitness! Blessings,
    Jen in Neb.
  • Hi Jen! (great name, by the way!) You can absolutely get healthier at any age!! And, honey, you are a spring chicken - you're still so young, so starting now is the best time. Plus, you are setting such a great example for your 5 children! Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to write me and tell me what you think : ) Check out all of my videos and try them at home. I make them so they make exercise and nutrition easily accessible, convenient and affordable for all!

Thanks Jenny! I so hope that I can do this. And you're right about my children - they are watching my example. Last night my daughter did pushups with me! It is fun to workout with someone else, esp. my family. Thanks again!

  • Sorry Jen, I can't remember if I wrote you back from this one yet or not..... That is so cool that your kids are climbing on your back for your push ups!! LOL! That is the ultimate way to make fitness a family affair : ) Thx for your support for Made Fit TV!

Awesome, awesome podcast, Jenny! Whenever my muscles start to burn during a work out, I always remember you saying to push through it; that the burn doesn't mean to stop! I loved the moves too, the row variation looks like it'll be killer, but I'm going to give a go.
  • I'm glad you liked it and that you're "embracing the burn!" Keep it up - 2010 is going to be a great year for you : )
