Food should be nourishment for your body just as much as it should be pleasant for the tastebuds.  As you know, I always strive to come up with easy recipes that taste good but don’t ruin the progress of your fitness plan.

In this week’s Made Fit TV episode, I show you how to make a healthy Asian-inspired recipe packed with protein, vegetables, and flavor! You can check out the ingredients and recipe below.

Asian-inspired Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients: 1 head of lettuce or bib lettuce, 1lb lean ground turkey breast, coleslaw mix, bean and wheat sprouts

Sauce Ingredients: 4 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce, 2 tbsp rice or sushi vinegar, 1 tbsp fish or oyster sauce, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tsp cayenne pepper

1. Brown the turkey meat and drain, let simmer on low

2. While the meat simmers, mix all of the sauce ingredients in a separate bowl and pour over the meat

3. Rinse and pat dry the lettuce, coleslaw mix, and sprouts

4. Scoop turkey meat into a lettuce leaf, add coleslaw and sprouts, fold up and enjoy!
