Setting goals can be easier said than done when you don’t even know where to begin!  That’s why I am breaking down some steps on how you can find the right goals for you based on your attitude, body type, and training style.

We already touched on how to distance ourselves from media pressure and focus on what our individual bodies respond best to based on our natural capabilities and tools.  In this week’s Made Fit TV episode, I bring you the third video in a five-part series of steps on “How to Achieve the Right Goals for You” by matching your own body type to a training style that complements it best for greater results!

  • Thanks! You know, just focus on being healthy and fit and eating right and over time your body will find the right shape and size it is meant to be. Being consistent and just taking care of your body leads to optimum health and fitness. So just enjoy the ride, have fun, and keep challenging yourself : )

Thank you so much for all of your videos Jenny! I can’t tell you how spot on you are with my body type. I am an endomorph and have struggled with my weight since I was 8 years old. I am 22 now and I cannot tell you how frustrating it has been for me to work on losing weight. I always tried to do about 5 hours of low-intensity cardio per week and some strength training and eat healthy foods at about 1600 calories per day, but I just could not lose weight. My doctor tests my thyroid every few years and I’m always borderline hypothyroidism, but not enough to get medication. Finally, a few days before September of this year I was like, this is not working at all, I need to change something. So I decided to do HIGH intensity aerobics like running, interval training, or tae bo for at least an hour to two hours every day in September and strength train TO MY MAX at least three days a week. I have lowered my caloric intake to 1200 calories a day and for the first time in my life I lost 7 pounds in three weeks. Before, I would have been lucky to lose that much in three months! I have never lacked drive or motivation, just knowledge. If I would have known that this is what it takes for me, I would have been doing high intensity aerobics my whole life. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge; you explained in a few episodes what my general doctor and endocrinologist never explained to me. To all the other endomorphs out there, UP THE INTENSITY and never give up!

  • Amber, thank you so much for sharing your story and your success!! Education is the first thing to overcome, and then putting it into action is what delivers the results - and you are doing it!! Keep it up and thank you so much for being a supporter of Made Fit TV : ) Always be proud of your health, fitness, and body type!

How come when I took training course ath YMCA they never discussused body type: Ecto, meso and Endor????

    Tara

  • Honestly, I can't answer that because I really don't know. Health and fitness encompasses so much that goes beyond the gym. I would recommend that if you are interested in learning more, check out some books and articles online because there is an endless amount of info out there that can only be covered in so much time. That is why I try to touch on many topics on my videos to expand people's horizons and broaden the spectrum of what they think health and fitness encompasses. Thanks so much for being a fan and for your support!

I'd like to add something about the big breasts issue. There is a prettty good chance, that the author of the email has never been well bra-fitted. Please check this link: http://eternalvoyageur.xanga.c...
Your bra (even if you have very big breasts) should feel comfortable in every way and your back shouldn't hurt because of the bust size!

  • Thanks for that tip! That could be possible. I think many women just get so down about the excess fat in their chest that no matter what, they think that means they are over-fat. Sometimes our breasts have a mind of their own, lol!

For me to achieve any goal is hard cause I always tend to lose focus. It's gotten to that point where it's hard to put in the effort into achieving any goal that I set for myself. I give up.

  • Don't give up - just keep that focus if the goal really means something to you!
