How many of you have walked into a gym for the first time in months - or for the first time ever, for that matter - and felt paralyzed?  The intimidating crowds, loud equipment, and weight machines that look like torture devices… So what do you do?

In this week’s episode of Made Fit TV, I provide my Top 10 Things TO DO at the Gym. I gave you the 10 Things NOT to do at the Gym in episode 33. This time I give you some ideas on how to make the most of your gym experience!

Cinnamon Almond Protein Muffins

Ingredients:

Dry Ingredients - 1/4 cup Almond Flour/Meal, 2 cups Oats (quick or whole), 3-4 scoops NiyoPRO Vanilla Protein Powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/8 cup Stevia, 1 tsp cinnamon

Wet Ingredients - 1/2 cup Almond Milk, 6 egg whites (1/2 cup liquid egg whites), 1/2 teaspoon vanilla OR substitute vanilla and Stevia with only 1/8 cup Sugar-Free vanilla flavoring

Baking Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven at 350 degrees
  2. Spray 12 count muffin tins with non-stick spray
  3. Mix together dry ingredients
  4. Blend together wet ingredients and combine with dry ingredients
  5. Mix with hand-mixer for two minutes until well blended
  6. Equally divide batter into 12 muffin tins
  7. Bake for 12 minutes (possibly more or less depending on oven efficiency. Check at 10 minutes to be safe)
  8. Allow to cool and enjoy! Keep leftovers refrigerated

**One serving = 2 mufffins

Nutrition Information per serving: 146 calories, 4g Fat, 12g Total Carbohydrates, 3g Fiber, 1g Sugar, 16g Protein

But, this recipe is special because I’ve finally found a protein powder, NiyoPRO, that makes my oatmeal taste like vanilla cake! Check out the video and the recipe below.

Vanilla Cake Protein Oatmeal

Ingredients:  1/2 cup oats, 1 scoop (half serving) of vanilla NiyoPRO protein powder, 1 tsp sugar-free vanilla flavored syrup

Directions:

  1. Measure 1/2 cup oats dry and put them in a microwaveable bowl
  2. Fill the bowl with water to the top of the oats (add more if desired)
  3. Microwave on high for 1 minute (watch it to make sure it does not overflow!)
  4. Mix in 1 scoop of NiyoPRO or vanilla protein powder of choice
  5. Add 1 tsp sugar-free vanilla syrup - Enjoy!
